I am originally from China and immigrated to the United States with my family when I was 6 years old. I grew up on Long Island New York until I attended the University of Virginia for my undergraduate degree. I completed my veterinary degree at Iowa State University. Following graduation from veterinary school, I completed a rotating internship at Michigan State University and a surgical internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in DC. I am currently a small animal surgery resident at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in the four-years combined masters/residency program.
