Dr. Petrovsky was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona until he left to pursue his professional education. He graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. He completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City and a small animal surgery residency at Iowa State University.
Dr. Petrovsky enjoys all aspects of orthopedics and sports medicine, working to match each patient's treatment to their specific needs. Brian's areas of interest are arthroscopy, patellar luxation, angular limb deformity correction, joint replacement, and 3D printing/planning. Dr. Petrovsky joined Dr. Lirtzman and Dr. Trumpatori at Arizona Canine Orthopedics and Sports Medicine after finishing his residency in 2021, where he continues to practice. In 2023, Dr. Petrovsky joined Vet3D alongside Dr. Oxley and Dr. Bleedorn to expand access to veterinarian surgeons across America. Vet3D specializes in CAD-based virtual surgical planning and the design and creation of 3D-printed, patient-specific surgical guide systems and drill guides. He wishes to combine his love of research with clinical care to make a meaningful contribution to the field of veterinary surgery. Brian is passionate about offering the highest level of care for his patients and their owners.
Besides spending time with his wife, Kalie, and their newborn daughter Jean. He enjoys camping, culinary adventures, sports, traveling, and hiking with his Boxer, Fin. "Smush-faced" dog-lovers through and through, his Phoenix family members have five Boxers all together!
