While born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, Peter played football for Brigham Young Univeristy prior to veterinary school with the Utah State and Washington State regional program in veterinary medicine. In veterinary school, Peter became interested in surgery, orthopedics, and clinical research focused around biomechanics. Peter went on to a rotating internship with WestVet Specialty Center in Garden City, ID following graduation where his interest in surgery and biomechanical clinical research continued to grow. Following this extensive internship, Peter returned to Washington State University after matching with the Washington State University and WestVet Specialty Center Joint Small Animal Surgery Residency. He enjoys Star Wars, mountain biking, and exercising all with his wife - Carissa, son - Revan, and dog - Star Fox.
