Claire Robinson graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2010. After this she worked in mixed practice, completed an internship at Rossdales Equine Hospital in Newmarket and a residency in Equine Surgery at the University of Liverpool. After completion of her residency Claire worked as an equine surgeon in the UK and in Malta. In 2020 she became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. In 2021 Claire moved to the Equine Hospital of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia. Alongside her role as an equine surgeon she set up internship, externship and veterinary nurse training programs and formed part of the ‘Saudi Cup’ veterinary team. In January 2023 Claire moved to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine to take up the position of Assistant Professor in Equine Surgery. In 2024 Claire completed the PGDip in veterinary education and the Cornell Veterinary Educators Academy fellowship program. Claire’s current research interests include equine orthopedic surgery and veterinary education. Claire lives in St Kitts with her husband and three dogs. Outside of work she enjoys running and snorkeling and horse riding.
