Surgeons encounter wounds of various provenance, including traumatic, due to resection of neoplasms, and as a consequence of complications from treatments such as radiation therapy. Wounds commonly involve the integument, however defects in other important tissues and cavities may also be encountered which may necessitate advanced reconstructive techniques. This seminar includes experts in the field giving presentations on their area of emphasis. Attendees gain both the latest evidence-based information as well as informal experience-based tips and tricks to optimize their own wound repair and reconstructive outcomes for future cases.
