This session will cover: 1. Review of how to read and interpret the pain research literature 2. Review of recent (last 3-4 years) work in acute and chronic pain 3. Discuss the practical implications for clinical practice of recent advances and discuss the practical gaps in knowledge 4. Outline future directions in pain research and how practice can (and should) be involved in advancing pain management research
