Equine TMJ disease has become a diagnosis 'du jour" in recent years. Nebulous performance related issues have been blamed on this joint without a logical, unbiased, diagnostic work-up having been performed. This lecture focuses on trying to maximize the probability that the TMJ is actually the seat of a performance problem.
