Complications occur to anyone who does surgery. This lecture discusses the effects of surgical complications and errors on the mental health of veterinarians, what we can do to prevent complications and how to move past them when they occur so we can continue to serve our patients and clients. This lecture includes information from the literature as well as personal stories.
