Originally from Washington State, Dr. Guess earned her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Washington State University. She completed her small animal internal medicine residency and master’s degree at Kansas State University and was in private practice for several years before joining the faculty at WSU in 2019. Her main research interests are clinical internal medicine topics, specifically in the areas of measurement and statistical analysis and design. She has contributed to the literature in pituitary endocrine disease, calcium homeostasis, chronic kidney disease, biliary disease, and megaesophagus. Her main career goals are to be a terrific clinician educator and be part of a collaborative research program that focuses on clinical research. Personal interests include training for endurance events, reading, and learning about space exploration.
