Dr. Prange received his veterinary degree from Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, Germany, in 2002 and started working as an associate veterinarian in a private equine referral clinic in North-Rhine Westphalia. During this time, he completed his thesis, and after four years in private practice, he successfully applied for an internship at the Marion duPont Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA. From 2007 to 2010, he was an equine surgery resident at Michigan State, where he also completed his master’s degree in large animal clinical sciences. Since 2010, he has been a member of the equine group at NCSU, first as an emergency clinician and since 2012 as a soft tissue surgeon.
