Texas A&M University
Cody Westmoreland is a third-year veterinary student at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Cody participated in the 2023 Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Scientist Research Training Program, where he was mentored by Dr. Vanna Dickerson and performed his own primary research on using subcutaneous lavage to reduce microbial growth under her guidance. This experience prompted Cody to explore more research opportunities, including doing another mentored research project with Dr. Nicole Buote at Cornell University this past summer. He currently plans to pursue a small animal surgical residency after graduation.
