Katie received her DVM from the University of California, Davis in 2019. After graduating, she completed two rotating hospital internships, first at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY, the second at the University of Pennsylvania, New Bolton Center before staying on for a residency in large animal surgery. Katie finished her residency in June 2024 and she is currently a Clinical Instructor at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine on the Emergency and Critical Care Service. Additionally, Katie is a PhD candidate in the Comparative and Experimental Medicine program. Her professional interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, lameness, and advanced diagnostic imaging.
