Fabrice Bernard is an ECVS diplomate and the head of the small animal surgery service of one of the largest veterinary hospitals in France. He completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Montreal (Canada) following graduation from the National Veterinary School of Nantes (France) in 2001. He then enrolled in a standard small animal surgery residency training in Paris. He was then an Assistant Professor in Small Animal Surgery at University College Dublin for 5 years. Since 2011 he has been one of the co-directors the Saint-Martin Veterinary Hospital.
His clinical interests include revision case surgery, arthroscopy, angular limb deformity cases, 3D planning and printing. Dr. Bernard has given many oral presentations, courses and published many articles on topics including complex facture cases, cruciate stabilization techniques, arthrodesis, minimally invasive techniques and neurosurgery. His current research focuses on cruciate ligament injury management, advanced tendon and ligament repair techniques and arthrodesis.
